Say Cheeeese!

I know, I know. I owe you many details and pictures from our May wedding. Were finally getting back to a normal schedule, but still waiting on the pictures from our photographer. So in the mean time.... I did want to share, probably the biggest hit of all, our PHOTOBOOTH!
Mr. CP and I wanted more than anything for our guests to have fun at our wedding. I reached out to Neil at Poshbooth and he explained the pictures come out in double prints, one copy to the guests, one copy to our guest book, and that would be where the guests sign! I was sold!

Our guest book is so much fun and people keep telling us how much fun they thought the photobooth was! Neil from Poshbooth brought a tub full of funny props for the pictures.

Here is Mr. CP and I, at the beginning of the night

Here are my parents, who despite thinking this was a "dumb" idea, definitely had fun! (they were so wrong!!! and I loved it, hee hee)

Here is my brother and his wife, (and my bridesmaid), who may have had the most fun with it, being the took 3 or 4 sets of pictures and used various props that they found around the wedding (like our marriage license) Next, Here is Mr. CPs brother and his soon to be (tomorrow!!) wife!

Here is me and my Matron of Honor
Here is me and my Maid of Honor
Mr. CP and some of his friends getting silly!

Me and my oldest friend and bridesmaid (so easy even a caveman can do it!)

The end of the night...we were exhausted!

What kinds of unique things did you do or are you doing, to make it a more festive night?

Mr. and Mrs. Cleveland Park

It's official! Were married! We just got back from Hawaii and I have a lot to share. Ill leave you with a few pictures until things settle a bit.
All photos were taken by our guests.

The day started with hair, make-up and a delicious brunch. I was calm as could be! (even I was surprised by this!)

And then it was time to get in my dress and see my man!

While we waited, I got a little anxious....

ok maybe a lot anxious!

After we saw eachother it was picture time! Note to all brides: DO NOT sit on a Piano....there is a finish and it made the back of my dress BLACK! Thank god for a bustle!

My beautiful Bridesmaids!

The Ceremony was perfect. I had fake eyelashes though, which do not work well with a veil...just FYI :)
And we were married!

Mr and Mrs Cleveland Park!

My favorite picture, our first dance. How sweet is this picture!?

The dreaded chair!

Our cake, with our bobblehead cake topper

Yes, I did it....I just couldnt help myself!

Our wedding was everything I dreamed of!

TA DA! My something Blue!

I know you have read about 3 million posts about bridal shoes.....and guess what, here is 3,000,001. I am IN LOVE with my shoes. I knew I wanted a color...I mean, even in my everyday dress, I where colored shoes. Its my thing!
A friend of Mr. CP's is starting a new hand-made shoe business and asked if she could design my wedding shoes...as if I had to think about that one! She charged me the cost of the shoes, as long as I took a few pictures at the wedding that she could use on her website. Um, DEAL. The process involved multiple sketches and going back and forth to get the shoes exactly how I wanted them. I took some pictures of them below. Prepare to be woo-ed! I had them dyed to match the bridesmaid dresses, exactly. The Swarovski crystals are green, yellow and clear, to match the flowers. She also put the date and our inititals on the soles. There is a tiny bee sewn in, but you can't see them. Brittaney can be emailed directly from her website, which is about to go live, http://www.lovehershoes.com/. ENJOY and tell her Miss CP sent you, if your interested!
(Notice I got artistic with my ring! hahaha)

What color are your bridal shoes?

To all the newly engaged ladies...

Hello Ladies! Sorry its been a while. I have 12 days until my big day and have lots to do! I found myself very stressed and overwhelmed with not just tasks, but also looking how I want to. I found something that really helped me manage both, and my only regret is that I didnt find it sooner!

Bikram Yoga. For those of you who are unfamiliar, its hot yoga, literally. Its 105 degrees. Its hot. Like really hot. You do 2 sets each of 26 poses and 2 breathing exercises. The poses are not terribly difficult, but the heat makes it seem almost impossible.

I love the way Bikram yoga can clear my mind, my skin and make me sweat! Its 90 minutes, and not the most pleasant. I am going to go asmuch as I can over the next 2 weeks. I can feel my arms getting toned!
I highly recommend www.dcbikramyoga.com in Tenleytown. Its inexpensive to start. Give it a try!

Showering me!

Sorry for being MIA. With less than 50 days to go, you can imagine how much we have to do still! I had my bridal shower 2 weeks ago and was humbled my all the gifts and love I felt. I am somewhat embarrassed to admit, we had to take a break from the presents because there were so many! hee hee! I got almost everything on my registry. Below are some of my favorite pics. Enjoy!

I arrived and was immediately greeted by the host, a close family friend, Terri.

The guests begin to come! I am getting excited!! PRESENTS! hahaha (I am a brat and full ok with it)
The food was a typical Jewish brunch! Delicious!

Me, and my mom and my sister in law

Me and Mr. CP's mom and his brothers fiance, my soon-to-be sister in law!

My Matron of Honor spelled out words that were about me and Mr. CP on a scrabble board, like places we went on dates, where we got engaged, how we met, etc. I loved it! She is prego and couldn't be there, but I surely appreciated the thoughts she sent withher mom :)

these flip-flops leave the imprint of "Just Married" in the sand! perfect for our honeymoon in Mexico!
My "Mrs." Hoodie! I LOVED this so much. My sister in law, "S" gave it to me!
Bridesmaids!

Terri made me a homemade ice cream cake for me! Rocky Road, my favorite!!!! This was easily my favorite part!

I had the best shower! Thanks to all who made it possible! So, how do I handle returning gifts and having the person over?

N'awlins!

Is there anything more fun then a bachelorette party in New Orleans? Answer: NO. This past weekend, me and 7 of of my close friends, invaded New Orleans for my bachelorette party. First, I have to say how flattered and honored I was that 7 people spent a small fortune to attend! Thank you Becca, Laura, Laura, Christine, Cathy, Mairin and Lillian! You guys mean the world to me and I had the time of my life!

The weekend started with a bang! We got in on Friday. The first thing we did was explore. We went up and down Bourbon street, stopping periodically for drinks of course. (did you know you can drink on the street there?!) After a mini nap, we went to dinner at a local suggestion, The Alpine, where we got Po' Boys, Jambalaya, gator, ribs and other Cajun yumminess. We then took part in the Haunted Ghost Tour, which I have been on before. This is where they guide you all around the french quarter and share hauntings! So much fun! The picture below is us right before the ghost tour, can you tell its HUMID there? (remember my hair from previous posts!)

Once the tour was over, we headed back to the hotel, where we had separate rooms, but a shared balcony. Yes a balcony!!! SO FUN! I was surprised with a lingerie shower! I got so many goodies, I am so excited and flattered my girls would do that. Unfortunately, I don't have pictures. My sister in law, Stephanie, also sent us a bottle of champagne and 8 glasses for a toast. My Matron of Honor send a huge basket filled with crackers, cheese, wine, olives, cookies, candy, you name it! I felt to special from all this!

The rest of the day was spent eating beignets at Cafe Du Monde, taking the trolley to the garden district, eating at my favorite place, The Gumbo Shop, and shopping for knick knacks! We also spent some time in the Hustler store looking for honeymoon stuff, wink wink :)

Later that night they dressed me up and gave me a pinata. It was filled with candy, thongs, lip gloss and glow necklaces!

MOH Becca's sister Meg, designed our AWESOME shirts. New Orleans themed, they are Tarot cards! The front says "Madam Rachel's"

Check out the skeleton holding a a diamond in one hand and a timer in the other! Notice my hot bridesmaid's with bouquets of daggers. SO RAD, right!? Thanks Meghan!

And of course, it was time to go out on the town! My favorite part of th enight, which thier are no pictures of, involved us singing Kareoke at "The Cat's Meow" singing, "It's Raining Men" We tore it UP!
The ladies

2 for 1?

Love you guys!!! Thanks again for making it the best weekend ever!
